Abhishekam
Various homams and parayanams were performed at the Yagashala during the Navaratri. The Kalashas containing the sanctified water were carried by the Vaidiks to the Adhisthanam in a ceremonial way with Their Holinesses Pujyasri Jayendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya Swamiji and Pujyasri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya Swamiji leading the procession. Abhishekam was performed by His Holiness at the Adhisthanam with the sanctified water, followed by Deeparadhana.

 

 

Vedaarambham Performed

As per tradition, Vedarambham was done in the presence of Their Holinesses in Sri Chandramoulishwara Puja Sannidhi.

His Holiness visits Kamakshi Temple

His Holiness Pujyasri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya Swamiji visited Sri Kamakshi Ambal Temple late in the evening on Vijayadashami. Traditional temple honours were accorded to His Holiness. Devi Kamakshi was seated in the Golden Chariot for the Utsavam and in front of the Goddess, a large group of Nadaswaram and Tavil vidwans played mangalavadyam and rendered Kritis on Devi Kamakshi in the presence of His Holiness. His Holiness blessed the vidwans and other devotees present in the temple.
